Nurse Practitioners are registered nurses who have additional education and nursing experience. They are health-care professionals who treat the whole person: addressing needs relating to their physical and mental health, gathering their medical history, focusing on how their illness affects theirs lives and their family, and offering ways for people to lead a healthy life and teaching them how to manage chronic illness. Nurse practitioners are educators and researchers who can be consulted by other health-care team members.

All GP Practices are required to declare the mean earnings (e.g average) for GPs working to deliver NHS services to patients at each practice.

The average pay for GPs working in Plains View Surgery in the last financial year before tax and National Insurance was  £28,187.  This is for 0 full time GPs, 3 part time GPs, and 2 locum GPs who worked in the practice for more than 6 months.

It should be noted that the prescribed method for calculating earnings is potentially misleading because it takes no account of how much time doctors spend working in the practice, and should not be used to form any judgement about GP earnings, nor to make any comparison with any other practice.
